The days are just packed.

Some people may enjoy http://www.homestarrunner.com/sickday.html. Be sure to hover on the word crap at the end. Everyone's sick here. It's a Pandemic. If that's not funny enough. Go here. http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/city/pages/on-100_metric_e.html. Today was the first day to drop below, gasp, zero degrees. It's also the start of fashion week here in Tbay. This is when all semblance of decent conformity is discarded in the desperate need to stay warm. This years hot styles? Any shiny eighties metallic ski jacket that may or may not have been worn by the Rocketeer. Snowboots and dresses. A pink collared shirt. Or your dad's old Army cast off Parka, circa his stint in Korea.

A week ago, when we were 4-by-in up Mt. McKay, I saw one of those solitary autumn red trees in a stand of lush green. It was firery red. The next day, they're all yellow and falling. You might hear an Easterner say, when talking about the East, that they miss the seasons. They say that there's a real distinction between Summer and Fall, Fall and Winter, Yada whatever. This is actually because they miss the sensation of wearing boardshorts the day before and a Parka the day after. Oh, and the trees are nice. It's much like a full colour Calvin and Hobbes scene. You know, one of the really introspective ones where Hobbes is making fireworks noises. Right before the attack of the killer snow goons? If you only think Calvin is good for pissing on things, you need to spend more time in Heather's bathroom (that's where they keep the anthologies).

So it's cold, and I'm thrilled about getting another massive assignment in Open Channel Flow. Dr Umed Panu has ensured that we will have to come to school on the long weekend to use some very lo tech equipment. For those interested, it's a Planimeter. Expect more posts regarding the dear doctor. I'll also try to post some video so you can all have a good laugh at his expense. Or check out ratemyproffessor.com.

It's almost Friday here. And If I have an especially awesome day... I might post some pictures. Highlights will be Mt McKay, my condo, and a brief summary of Canada in picture form, from Victoria, to Thunderbay.

Oh, and Owen and Jeff's Flattie broke his collar bone BADLY at the skate park. I'm sure your prayers are with him in his hour of need. Donations to his codeine and booze fund can be made by sending cashmoney to... Me. I'll see that he gets it. Fo shure.

SO true! In Ottawa, fall lasts for approximately 46 hours. In the last week I have worn tank tops AND my winter coat. And not at the same time, either. It's bullshit.

Great to see you blogging!!!
